Traces of this company date 1876 but certainly the activity of Shipping Agents in the port of Livorno goes back several years before. Unfortunately, as happened in several cases, air bombing suffered by the town of Livorno during second world war made is useless to carry out proper research in the social files or with the Chamber of Commerce as all files went destroyed.

Only the 1876 edition of Lloyds Register was found and it includes William Shepherd amongst its subscribers: this volume is jealously preserved in our offices. William Shepherd offers Agency services exclusively dedicated to Cruise Vessels and represent the most important Cruise Companies of the world virtually since the first Cruise Vessel entered the Mediterranean.

Since some years we are also offering a net of services including Ferry Ticketing and from the most important Italian, Mediterranean and Atlantic connections. William Shepherd are General Agents in Italy for Acciona Transmediterranea, the most important Spanish operator connecting the Med and Atlantic islands with the continent.
